For people wanting to study in Japan or specifically in Sapporo, Yoshida Gakuen provides dedicated support not only for campus life but also for daily living.
Yoshida Gakuen Animal Care College

Yoshida Gakuen Animal Care College values the bond with animals more than anything else. Based on the spirit of animal protection and with a view to building practical skills, we do not raise animals for use at the school, instead using model dogs in classes from among more than 1,100 dogs registered by local residents. Through hands-on training in grooming, students enhance their practical skills in a unique way by receiving animals from their owners, asking about the pets’ physical conditions and taking requests if any, grooming them and taking good care of them, and returning them when their owners come to pick them up.
In addition, veterinarians working at the forefront of veterinary medicine, veterinary technicians, first-line pet groomers and others with a wealth of work experience serve as full-time instructors, and establish a curriculum for dealing squarely with the lives of animals. With cutting-edge facilities, equipment and medical instruments, we also train first-rate veterinary technicians and pet groomers.
